NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The rights of women still at the forefront for Dame Janet Bostwick. The activist, attorney and politician honored this week at CARICOM.

Bostwick was presented with the CARICOM Triennial Award for Women for her work nationally and throughout the region.

While accepting the award, Bostwick reflects on what gave her the push to become a voice for women not only in The Bahamas, but in the region.

As countries in the region continue to push for climate change and climate justice, Bostwick is encouraging women to be at the forefront.

While much has been done in the advancement of women, Bostwick says the work must continue.
