NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Year after year, the Office of the Auditor General goes through the spending of every government entity with a fine-tooth comb, but Auditor General Terrance Bastian says his office needs more manpower and upgraded technology.

Bastian says the goal is for the increase to also come with trained staffers.

He says ideally, each government agency would need two auditors for the office to function properly.

The Auditor General says the government understands and is working to bring up the employee compliment, adding that they’re doing the best they can with what they have.
