NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 50th edition of the CARIFTA games are just a little over a month away and many elements are in motion to ensure it’s the best games ever.

Fenerin Hanna, senior director of Marketing and Partnerships for the Local Organizing Committee is encouraging Bahamians to stay put this Easter weekend, and watch the 50th edition of the CARIFTA games live and in person.

With CARIFTA just a few weeks out, LOC CEO Lynden Maycock says things are exactly where they need to be.

To date the LOC has raised just over $1.5 million – a feat Hanna says was not easy to achieve.

Last week, Sports Minister Mario Bowleg revealed just over $2.8 million is being spent to get the tracks, both stadiums and surroundings area ready for the games.

The games are scheduled for the Easter weekend April 8-10, 2023.
