NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Murders are often the most talked about crimes in The Bahamas, and in recent years they’re happening more frequently.

A special group of officers at the Criminal Investigation Department, headed by Assistant Superintendent Jamaal Evans, investigates these crimes.

They’re the faces you see at just about every crime scene, officers whose daily duties include investigating the most heinous of crimes – murders.

And they’re kept busy. Just how busy? Last year alone the country recorded 128 murders.

It’s a job that includes long hours, sleepless nights and a whole lot of patience, drive and dedication.
