NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The countdown to the 50th CARIFTA Games continues, with a float parade and pep rally, held Thursday night.

Prime Minister Philip Davis encouraged the Bahamian athletes to do their best in the upcoming games, adding he believes the medal count this year will be even higher than last year’s.

About 600 athletes representing 28 countries are expected to compete in the 2023 CARIFTA Games.

PM Davis said he will be proudly wearing his aquamarine, gold and black in support of Team Bahamas.

This as he also thanked parents for their sacrifices and commitment to the 80-member team.
