Modular Units To Help With ER Overcrowding

FREEPORT, BAHAMAS – For some time now the emergency room at the Rand Memorial Hospital has not had waiting area, forcing people to sit on the outside.

To address that challenge as well as other issues, administrator Jessica Cartwright says several modular buildings will soon be open to the public.

Administrator of the Grand Bahama Health Services Jessica Cartwright provides a timeline for the modular buildings that will house the special pathogens unit and rehab services unit.

Cartwright reveals that the units arrived in December but there was an unforeseen delay.

She says the intent is to ensure that there is a facility helps with crowding.

She says the team is excited about the progress
