Team Bahamas Widens Lead after Day Three

WILLEMSTAD, CURACAO – Team Bahamas maintained and widened its lead following Day Three at the 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships in Curacao.

The Bahamas has 863 points, followed by the Cayman Islands with 572 points, Trinidad and Tobago with 407 points, Barbados with 365 points and Jamaica with 361.50 points, rounding out the top five teams.

The Bahamas won several relays on night three including the Mixed 11-12 400 Meter Free relay, the Girls and Boys 11-12 50 Meter Breast, the Girls 11-12 200 Meter IM won by Saleste Gibson, the Boys 15-17 200 Meter IM won by Nigel Forbes among other races.

The Bahamas currently has 28 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze for a total of 65 medals.

Day four will begin at 9:00am at the Enith Brigitha Pool.
