NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Gender-based violence has been a major topic in recent times, and police are sharing the early warning signs that your partner may not be a safe choice, as well as where to go when you feel you need to leave. 

Chief Superintendant Chrislyn Skippings with a strong warning to not take unhealthy relationships lightly.

Skippings lists some of the early signs of a problem and urges people not to ignore the red flags, in hopes that they can get out before things escalate.

If you’re in a situation where you’re afraid to leave, as statistically attempting to leave can be dangerous, Skippings suggests several options.
