Road To The Coronation of King Charles III

LONDON, ENGLAND – In just a matter of days, their majesties, King Charles III and the Queen Consort, will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey for the official coronation ceremony on Saturday, May 6th. 

Our News spent the day traveling to London and getting a feel for how locals are preparing and their expectations for the big royal day.

We can tell you that so far, the city seems to be a bit quiet, and “normal” but we spoke to a few residents that assured us that the fanfare and pomp and circumstance will pick up very soon. 

We can also tell you that there seems to be a bit of mixed feelings on the new king as some residents say they are still hurt by the death of the Queen Elizabeth II.

Some say they plan to wait and see how King Charles III fills his late mother’s shoes; big shoes to fill indeed and others say quite frankly, they don’t care too much for the monarchy.

We can also tell you that Prime Minister Philip Davis is on the ground and he is expected to be the guest of honor and keynote speaker at the House of Lords on Wednesday.
