NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Samuel P. Haven High School National Championships are making their return this month.

The tournament, which is a collaboration between The Bahamas Football Association and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, will feature eight of the best boys and girls high school soccer teams from New Providence, Grand Bahama and Abaco competing to determine who’s the best in the country.

The matches will take place May 19th through the 27th. Abaco and Grand Bahama schools with play in Grand Bahama with the winners moving on to New Providence.

New Providence private schools’ finals were last week. The finalists will compete against the best public schools, whose season just began this week.

We’re excited to see who the new soccer champs will be.

Klay Thompson had a huge game to help his Warriors tie their second-round series.

The Golden State Warriors won game two of their second-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers 127-100.

Klay was the hero for the Dubs last night, going off 30 points, and hitting 8 three-pointers. Steph Curry was more of a distributor, dishing out 12 assists to go along with his 20 points.
Jamychal Green got the spot start for the Warriors scoring 15 points in 13 minutes. He also hit 3 three pointers creating space on offense.

Lebron James led the lakers with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Rui Hachimura had 21 off the bench.

Anthony Davis has a reputation for inconsistency and he lived up to it last night. He had 11 points and 7 rebounds to follow up his huge 30 and 20 game on Tuesday night.

The series resumes on Saturday night in LA.

Be sure to check out another Bahamian, Deandre Ayton, as his Phoenix Suns try to dig themselves out of a 0-2 hole against the Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

Jonquel Jones is getting acclimated to her new team.

Jones has been a member of the Connecticut Sun since she was drafted in 2016. An offseason trade earlier this year sent her to the New York Liberty.

Our Sasha Lightbourne was able to ask Jonquel a question in today’s press conference following practice about her adjustment to her new team and new city.

She spoke about what she’s going to bring to the team once the season kicks off later this month.
