Grand Bahama Holds Labour Day Parade
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Unions and workers across Grand Bahama coming out in large numbers on Friday to celebrate the Sir Randol Fawkes Labour Day under the theme “Celebrating 50 Years United in Love.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Public Service Fred Mitchell on island for the occasion.
Noting that the majority of unions have expressed specific concerns, he explained to attendees that there are various challenges within the various sectors.

Dannica Martin, Area Vice President of the Bahamas Educators Managerial Union, adding that she was pleased to see over 90 percent of administrators took part. She says this shows confidence in the efforts of the union
