NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Progressive Liberal Party Member of Parliament Leslie Miller says he suspects former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis will soon make a move to remove Michael Pintard as Leader of the Official Opposition.

This comes after months of speculation that there’s a clear split within the party.

This wouldn’t be the first time this has happened.

Back in 2016 former FNM MP Loretta Butler Turner and six others moved a vote of no confidence in Minnis and removed him as opposition leader.

Dr. Minnis has gone on record saying the FNM is one family.

Earlier this year, things reached a boiling point for the party when it was revealed that a communication was issued instructing constituency chairs to not allow Dr. Minnis to address constituency meetings.

The notice was displeasing to some.

Miller was asked if he feels Minnis would make a better leader.
