Health Minister Defends New Hospital Location
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The health minister says meetings will be held with members of the community near the property selected for the new hospital in New Providence.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Health Minister Dr. Michael Darville says there will be meetings with members of the community near the 50-acre property selected for the new hospital in New Providence.
The property sits near JFK’s 6-legged roundabout in the area of Perpall Tract.
Darville’s response came after it was suggested some residents aren’t excited about the prospect of a new hospital.
Darville says the choice of land will improve ease of access, thanks to it being linked to many of the country’s main roads and highways.
Still, he promises there will be consultations with the community before there are any shovels in the ground.
