NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Phone scammers are getting smarter, according to the Information Security Director for the Cable Bahamas Group of Companies, Shakera Rolle.

She says scammers are going to great lengths to replicate the businesses they’re impersonating, and offers these tips to spot the fakes and stop yourself from becoming a victim.

Rolle adds there are tell-tale signs of it not being a genuine call, saying that her department has gone undercover and called the numbers themselves.

She urges people not to click links or call unfamiliar numbers when prompted by a suspicious caller.
