NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Office of the Attorney General has to decide if a Jamaican man awaiting trial who was prematurely released from prison and repatriated will be extradited to The Bahamas to stand trial.

National Security Minister Wayne Munroe provided reporters with an update this week.

Back in May, Munroe announced the investigation into how the man who was awaiting trial was accidentally released from prison and deported. The man was convicted and fined for overstaying but was awaiting trial on a firearm and ammunition possession charge.
