GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – School’s out and that means summer camps across the islands are in full swing.

Over on Grand Bahama, the City of Freeport Council is hosting a number of interactive summer camps designed to get kids active and outdoors.

Chief Councillor Frazette Gibson says they’ve also hosted a unique camp, designed specifically for kids with special needs.

The camp is hosted annually and because of The Bahamas’ 50th year of independence, she says this year’s camp was Bahamian themed.

Principal at The Beacon School, Titi McKenzie-Moss says the students have been enjoying their experience.
