Woman Faints Onboard Repatriation Flight

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A repatriation flight to Port-au-Prince, Haiti of over 275 repatriates saw some delays, one of them being a medical emergency.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Over 275 Haitian nationals boarded Bahamasair jets on Monday to be repatriated to Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

The Department of Immigration taking members of the media along for the ride, but after the plane was loaded the first flight saw some delays, one of them being a medical emergency.

Assistant Director of Immigration Rudolph Ferguson explains a woman had fainted.

We were not given an update on that woman, but Ferguson assured she would be repatriated the same day.

The Haitian nationals were caught by the U.S. Coast Guard Near Cay Sal Bank on July 15th.
