NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Family members and government leaders paid their final respects to the fallen leader of the Baptist National Convention of the late Rev. Lloyd Smith.

It came as Smith was lying in repose this morning.

Prime Minister, Philip Davis, says Rev. Smith made significant contributions to the religious community and the nation through his construction company holiday industrial builders.

But, davis says his building went beyond the physical.

Rev. Smith served as President of the National Baptist Convention since 2018 and died while in office.

Incoming President, Reverend Dr. Philip McPhee says many are mourning the loss of a giant of a man.
