NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After a summer of juggling allegations of misconduct in his ministry, Immigration and Labour Minister Keith Bell is in the spotlight again after a fringe political party made an application for a Commission of Inquiry.

A group of Coalition of Independents party members, led by COI Leader Lincoln Bain walked into one Montague place this morning, to submit an application for a Commission of Inquiry, into Immigration and Labour Minister Keith Bell.

It comes after a summer riddled with allegations of irregular activity in the ministry prompted calls from both the Free National Movement and the Coalition of Independents for his resignation.

Bain tells us they’ve also drafted a letter to His Majesty King Charles III, in an effort to raise awareness of the issue.

When asked if Bell’s resignation would prompt them to drop the request for the inquiry.
