NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Minister for Grand Bahama Ginger Moxey telling reporters that investigations into a recent oil spill are ongoing. 

She notes that a task force made up of public and private sector partners has been established to continue the cleanup efforts.

As it relates to the development of the Carnival Cruise Port in East Grand Bahama, the minister says it’s progressing adding executives recently held a community engagement exercise. 

Royal Caribbean International also on tap to make major investments into a port as well. The minister gave this update.

Chief Development Officer of the Manchester Airport Group Paul Willis telling Our News back in May that a team was expected on the island throughout the summer months to assess the international airport. 

While the minister could not provide concrete details, she says she is excited for work to begin.
