NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After another year of dismal national exam results, former education minister Jeff Lloyd is suggesting we get rid of national examinations, calling them unfair to the system, the teachers, and the students.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After another year of dismal national exam results, former education minister Jeff Lloyd is suggesting we get rid of national examinations, calling them unfair to the system, the teachers, and the students.
His comments came while appearing as a guest On The Record with Jerome Sawyer.
The recent national exam results revealed only 10.9 percent of students who took BJC and BGCSE received a “C” or above in critical subjects.
Only 5.62 percent got grace “C” or above in Math, English and Science.
Lloyd also looking to shoot down talks that a “D” grade is failing.
He explains that’s because the GCE grading scale is still being followed despite the change to BGCSE.
