GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Leader of the Opposition and Marco City MP Michael Pintard has been critical of the Davis administration since taking office, but his criticism continues two years into Davis’ term over the state of Grand Bahama and the implications for his constituency.

Pintard called it critical for the government to come to the table and meet with the Grand Bahama Port Authority, industrial companies, licensees, and the opposition about the way forward.

With a depressed economy and no real signs of growth, Pintard says welfare support remains critical to the survival of hundreds of residents. However, he says getting help from the department of social services has not been easy.
