NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Public Accounts Committee will investigate the circumstances surrounding former PLP Cabinet Minister Leslie Miller being awarded a contract to house the Road Traffic Department in one of his buildings.

On Thursday, Miller told the Tribune Newspaper that government will move the Road Traffic Department into his Summerwinds Olaxa for a rate that is much better than anywhere else, adding there is nothing amiss and no favors involved.

He added, he wishes he could get the rates the big boys get.

Pintard says that while they have no issues with Bahamians getting contracts, the process needs to be transparent.

This is not the first time Miller had an agreement with the government to rent a facility of his.

Pintard claims Miller owes money to the government and is asking if he qualifies for tax compliance certificate.
