GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Not only have the major political parties ramped up their campaigns on the ground in West Grand Bahama and Bimini, independent candidates Ternielle Burrows and Daquan Swain are also doing the same.

They’re going door to door with hopes of becoming the next member of parliament for the area.

Swain says he plans to tackle the issues in the community if elected.

As for independent candidate Terneille “Tada” Burrows, this is her first time on the ground and while she says she doesn’t have a direct connection with the island of Bimini, there is a connection with Grand Bahama.

She believes that if elected she would perform better than the current opposition.

Burrows says she is learning of the issues in the community while watching the news and has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes.

Her slogan is Burrows for a Better Bahamas.
