NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Cancer Society of The Bahamas has been raising awareness and providing support for the past 45 years. The ten rooms at the centre provide a home away from home for patients from the Family Islands who travel to the capital for treatment.

Cable Bahamas Group of Companies President and CEO, Franklyn Butler says he was proud to see employees step up to make a difference.

Butler says during the pandemic, he saw the impact REV’s service has had on patients and their families.

Butler says connecting for the cure was made possible through partnerships with other corporate sponsors, including QBC Group of Companies. General Manager, Andrew Wilson says he was happy to provide a little incentive to get staff involved in the event, in the form of a 55-inch Samsung television.

Hundreds of Cable Bahamas employees helped to raise four-thousand dollars for the Cancer Society of The Bahamas, through the first-ever Connecting for the Cure campaign.
