NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When it rains it pours and for many streets in the capital flooding continues to be an issue, particularly on Bay and Dowdeswell Streets.

But how did these drains get this way?

Senior Engineer in the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs Henry Moxey points to old infrastructure and years of wear and tear.

With this vexing issue, the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs has begun clearing and restoring drainage flows  in eastern downtown.
