NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Could testing your fingerprint sweat be an alternative method to detecting breast cancer? Well, technology to do just that is currently under development by researchers at Sheffield Hallam University. General surgeon here at home, Dr. Dalecia Bodie noting the testing method is still in its early phases and has not yet reached a widespread international platform. While the technology has been previously used for forensics, Dr. Bodie explains how it will work for the detection of breast cancer.

Now should this new method prove successful, Dr. Bodie says she believes it will be a more appealing method for testing.

And as for when she believes this method could possibly come on stream internationally.

Dr. Bodie also noting cost could be a possible deterrent for adopting the testing method here in The Bahamas.
