Klay And Buddy Help Their Teams To Wins

Friday was a great night for Bahamians in The Association as Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors and Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers stepped up to help their teams get into the win column.

Thompson had 30 points on 9 of 19 shooting, 7 of which were three-pointers to help a Warriors team in the middle of an existential crisis get a much-needed win over the Chicago Bulls 140-131.

He also had 6 rebounds and 6 assists, including this beautiful dime to rookie big man Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Stephen Curry contributed 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the win and Johnathan Kuminga had 24 off the bench.

The win came on the heels of back-to-back losses for Klay’s Dubs, who are trying to figure out what to do with an aging but very expensive core of veterans which includes Thompson.

Grand Bahama’s Buddy Hield also helped his Indiana Pacers to a win against the Atlanta Hawks.

Playing without their best player Tyrese Haliburton, Hield stepped up to score 18 points, grab 3 rebounds and dish out 2 assists including this beautiful lob to high-flying forward Obi Toppin.

This kind of shooting game was much needed for Buddy coming off a Wednesday matchup with the lowly Washington Wizards where he went scoreless on 0-5 shooting in 18 minutes.

The win is the Pacers’ third in a row and the team has managed to win while maintaining their fast-paced, high-flying style of play despite the loss of floor general Haliburton.

They have a big challenge in their next game tomorrow when they play the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.
