NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of fatally shooting a 56-year-old  woman  and critically injuring her two-year-old grandson has been charged.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jameson Jacob is charged with the January 11 murder of Renae Gray and the attempted murder of her grandson Adonai Moss.

He’s also accused of the attempted murders of Ideane Moss and Lagina Barr.

Prosecutors say the victims were driving in the vicinity of Lily of the Valley Corner when a gunman, alleged to be Jacob, emerged from bushes and opened fire on the car.

Jacob didn’t have a lawyer when he stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley and bail was refused.

He’s next due in court on February 1 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
