NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Captain Sonia Miller has served in many roles, including as public relations officer and other duties.

She also serves as the coordinator for the recently launched National Youth Guard program. However, she admits that disaster management has become her passion in the force.

As she continues to break barriers within the organization, she shares what it was like to achieve the highest rank to be held by a woman on the defense force.

And to other women considering a career in the field, Captain Miller says, the sky is the limit.
