GB Rotary Clubs and Rosani Lens Project Give the Gift of Sight

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Rosani Lens Project back in Grand Bahama partnered with the Grand Bahama Health Services and rotary clubs on the island. The groups coming together to provide free optical tests and glasses to those in need. Randy Robb of the Rotary Club of Fleming Island explains that the tests are thorough and catered to each individual. But, if clients need a stronger prescription, Registered Nurse Shaneka Anderson explains that’s where the Grand Bahama Health Services comes in.

Rotarian, Angelika Christie says clients were extremely grateful to be provided with their custom glasses on spot. 

Area Governor for Grand Bahama, Othyneil Pinder says the response was more than expected, as hundreds were able to walk away with free glasses and improved vision over the three day initiative. Member, Jackie Russell, echoing those sentiments. She says it is a joy to be able to assist. 

Malvese Capron of the Rotary Club of Grand Bahama, instrumental bringing the international clubs together for the initiative. She says the support by the community proves that there is a major need on that northern island.
