NASSAU, BAHAMAS – 30-year-old Ashleigh Rolle is a writer and creative. You may know her work from the viral Bahamian Citizenship Test. But, we before we dive into that, our Generation Next feature tells me she’s always had a love for writing and storytelling. That passion was propelled when she began serving as an ambassador for various organizations and she began to realize there were so many stories that needed to be told.

That social commentary, along with the nostalgia experienced by Rolle and her growing followers, lead to the creation of the Bahamian Citizenship Test.

The test grew so popular that Rolle was invited to meet the prime minister and she confirms, he passed with flying colors. Rolle says part two is on the way!

Now despite the success of the Bahamian Citizenship Test, Rolle admits that there are challenges facing the creative industry, particularly writers.

Rolle is currently in the process of writing her first novel, something she describes as her greatest career highlight to date.
