Man Convicted of Incest Loses Appeal

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man, who was convicted of incest after he raped his biological daughter, will remain behind bars after losing his appeal against his conviction and sentence.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who was convicted of incest after he raped his biological daughter will remain behind bars after losing his appeal against his conviction and sentence.

The 48-year-old man, who cannot be identified, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the crimes that took place in New Providence.

During his trial the court heard that the man raped his daughter, taking her virginity at age 15. He raped her again when she was 16 on his birthday.

The jury also heard a recording of a telephone conversation between the man and his daughter in which he begged her not to tell anyone about the rapes.
