BOTSWANA – Strong words coming from Prime Minister Philip Davis at a joint press conference with Botswanan President Mokgweetsi Masisi Monday morning.

That joint press conference kicked off the prime minister’s six-day stay in the country where Davis says they will be exploring partnerships and learning exchanges in areas like agriculture, tourism, and education.

Digital currencies are also a topic of keen interest, and on the topic of global finance, President Masisi saying.

Prime Minister Davis even going as far as to question the veto powers within the United Nations, saying it’s time for reform in the international organization, with President Masisi saying he concurred completely.

The prime minister’s trip comes 6 months after Masisi visited The Bahamas during a trip that underlined the expanding diplomatic ties between The Bahamas and African nations.

During that visit last September, issues like tourism and the environment, education, agriculture, health, and financial services were discussed.
