$30K Bail Set For Man Accused of January Murder
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Supreme Court judge has set bail at $30,000 for a man accused of murder.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Supreme Court judge has set bail at $30,000 for a man accused of murder.
Accused killer Malek Sawyer has been behind bars since January 8, 2024.
Prosecutors say Sawyer is behind the December 22, 2023 murder of 46-year-old Jermaine Williams.
He was ambushed by gunmen as he pulled up to his home at Martin Close off Cowpen Road.
As a condition of bail, Sawyer has to wear an ankle monitor, check in weekly at a police station and keep a curfew.
