NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man contracted by the Water and Sewerage Corporation was shot and killed Friday afternoon.

Police press liaison officer Chief Superintendent Crislyn Skippings telling reporters police were called to apache alley off kemp road after 4pm.

Police say the 42-year-old man isn’t known to police and is not a resident of the area.

Officials from the Water and Sewerage Corporation were also on scene. General manager Robert Deal says the corporation is shaken by the sudden killing.

Deal says the team was carrying out a leak repair. As WSC repairmen are on the road often carrying out repairs, this latest incident brought to light safety concerns.
