NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Dr. Erton Kohler, Executive Secretary for the General Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, is making his rounds across the nation. Representing the leadership of the church, he began his mission work in Grand Bahama and has now made his way to the capital.

Dr. Kohler preached a sermon at Hillview Seventh-Day Adventist Church and shared that this is his first visit to the Bahamas. He is thoroughly enjoying his experience so far, including the people, food, and the beautiful beaches.

“I’m enjoying the people, the food, the beaches, and the time I’m spending with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as well.”

However, despite his cheerful demeanor, Dr. Kohler’s message carries an equal measure of seriousness. He emphasized the church’s mission, which is bigger than just its congregants. According to Dr. Kohler, the church is founded in the Bible and has a clear message of hope to share not only with the local community but with the entire country, especially during these challenging times.

We’re facing very challenging times, and this message of hope can create a nice foundation for us to move forward and to face all the challenges we are facing, not only in the Bahamas but in any other corner of this globe.”

With more than 25,000 Seventh-Day Adventist members in the Bahamas, Dr. Kohler expressed the church’s focus on expanding its message and welcoming new members. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the church is committed to growing its community.
