NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A family is grappling with unimaginable grief after their beloved relative, Horatio Higgs Jr., was killed in a hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning. Now they’re seeking answers and justice.

That’s Keshlia Collie, aunt of twenty-nine-year-old Horatio Higgs Jr, who was knocked off his blue Yamaha motorcycle around 4 a.m. on Saturday.

To his family, he was known as “Dunkas.” His aunt says he was a respected member of the community and dedicated father of two daughters, ages seven and nine.

According to police, he was found lying unresponsive in a bushy area on Poinciana Avenue east of Market Street.

At this time, police haven’t provided the family with any leads into the investigations.

Tonight, they’re expressing deep grief and frustration, calling for justice and urging the driver to come forward.
