Island Tennis Bahamas
In just a few years, Island Tennis Bahamas has already established itself as a driving force behind the development of local talent. Founded by a group of players that have represented The Bahamas from junior to senior national teams, Marvin Rolle, Philip Major, and Kevin Major Jr. look to steward the next generation down a similar path.

Rolle said that as coaches they saw a void in junior development, prompting the idea to establish Island Tennis. Island Tennis currently hosts approximately 40 student-athletes as young as age four at the Atlantis Resort. Major credits the rapid growth of Island Tennis to their relationship with Atlantis through executives Audrey Oswell and Russell Miller. As the organization continues to grow, their aim is to provide exposure and opportunities through the sport. Several athletes from the program have already secured collegiate scholarships following a series of international tournaments and showcases.

Jazz Chisholm’s offense was again the deciding factor for the Miami Marlins, who have won their third series in a row. Chisholm’s lead-off homer was the difference in a 1-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday night at LoanDepot Park in Miami. In his last 16 games, Chisholm is batting .308 with three home runs, 13 runs, and four stolen bases. He is one of seven players with at least seven home runs and nine stolen bases, joining Elly De La Cruz, Bobby Witt, Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Kyle Tucker.
