Suspect Tells Court He Didn’t Kill Man Outside Grey’s Terrace Home

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 30-year-old man accused killer told a magistrate that he’s innocent.
Shaquille Sturrup is accused of the May 23 murder of Devontino Brown.

According to police, Brown was ambushed by a gunman soon after he arrived at his home in Grey’s Terrace, off Bernard Road.

Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley told Sturrup that he didn’t havd to enter a plea to the murder charge.

Nevertheless, Sturrup said that although he was in the area, he didn’t kill anyone.

He further claimed the killing was caught on camera.

Reckley told Sturrup that he didn’t have the authority to grant bail and remanded him to prison.

Sturrup is back in court on August 29 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
