NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 2024/2025 budget hopes to encourage and enforce meaningful Bahamian ownership in the tourism industry. This comes from Minister of Tourism, Aviation, and Investments Chester Cooper, who detailed new regulations for water sports operators.

Last year, the Department of Inland Revenue required property owners operating short-term vacation rentals to register with them. Now, Cooper has a strong warning for those operating outside of the rules.
