NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Thousands of attendees including African Caribbean leaders, senior government officials, policymakers, corporate and business leaders, bankers, entrepreneurs and more are expected to sign more than 25 deals and announce new commercial and developmental initiatives during the historic convention in New Providence.
Head of Strategic Development & Initiatives at the Bahamas Development Bank, Sumayyah Cargill says they are hoping to further build on relationships already in motion.
She says as a small island nation, it can sometimes be hard to compete. However, this conference takes entrepreneurs a first hand opportunity to tap into the African markets.
Bahamian entrepreneurs have a dedicated section at the conference, allowing guests to support or partner with Bahamian businesses.
Cargill says four women were selected through a partnership with the BDB and UN Women to highlight their businesses.
Cargill touting the conference as an opportunity to take 242 to the world.
