ATHENS, GREECE – Team Bahamas is one day away from taking on the 17th ranked country in the world, Montenegro, in their first international friendly.

We’re less than 24 hours from game time and our first opportunity to see this version of Team Bahamas against international competition.

It was a light practice for Team Bahamas today as they prepare for their first game of the Aegean Acropolis Tournament here in Athens, Greece.

Montenegro’s roster is headlined by Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic.

The Bahamas will take on Montenegro at 1pm local time.

As of right now, DeAndre Ayton, Buddy Hield, and Eric Gordon are expected to play.

The BAAAs Track and Field Nationals takes on added significance in an Olympic year and with so many elite athletes still looking to qualify, another benefit for Bahamians will be seeing some of the country’s top collegiate stars compete at home.

The 2024 BAAAs  Kids Athletics, Junior and Senior Track and Field Nationals will be held Wednesday to Friday at the original Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.

A WNBA legend highlighted the experience for campers at the inaugural Health Matters Basketball Camp.

Sheryl Swoopes headlined the girls’ portion of the camp which also featured former NBA vet Mike James.

The free camp hosted scores of girls and boys at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium, looking to learn under the tutelage of the visiting pros.
