NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A magistrate convicted three accused drug dealers and sentenced them to four years in prison.

Tristan Black, Tennyson Joseph and Romaine Davis were tried in connection with the February 3, 2022 discovery of 356 pounds of marijuana and 11 pounds of hashish at a resort in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

The men were also fined $15,000, which if not paid, will result in an extra six months behind bars.

Davis and Joseph, who absconded after the prosecution and defense closed their cases, were convicted and sentenced in their absence.

Once arrested, they will be taken to prison to begin serving their sentences.

Magistrate Samuel McKinney has also called on their sureties to explain why they shouldn’t have to pay the $25,000 bail sum.
