NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The bill states that an organization in the faith or person responsible for a place of worship may apply to the authority for a religious organization license to distribute to its members as a sacrament.

An executive member in the house of Rastafari Jah Mickey Bowe says it’s not fair.

The act also calls for a member of the Rastafarian Faith to be a part of the management of The Bahamas Cannabis Board.

Rithmond Mckinney, high priest of The Boboshanti Tribe has been vocal throughout the consultation process.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis says the government should legalize marijuana for recreational use.

Here’s what Bowe had to say.
