NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahamas National Alliance Trade Union Congress President Belinda Wilson, blasting several union leaders, particularly Trade Union Congress President Obie Ferguson, for what she claims is political pawning.

Ferguson and the TUC have been at odds with the now PLP government over a previous Memorandum of Understanding that was signed when it was in opposition.

Wilson, who head’s another umbrella union, claims Ferguson is reaping the consequences of alleged personal deals he made three years ago.

She further claims the MOU was billed as a Workers Agenda, laid out by union leaders with a laundry list of promises, in exchange for support by the unions and their membership in the 2022 general election.

Wilson also alleged certain perks were awarded.
