NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When news first broke about plans for a new state-of-the-art hospital just off the New Providence Highway, there was public backlash.

During a town hall meeting, Head of the Medical Association of The Bahamas Dr. Gemma Rolle revealed physicians were in the dark about the plans and she expressed concerns about manpower.

Since then Dr. Rolle says the association met with Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Michael Darville to address concerns. She says the  conversation left them hopeful.

But while the focus is on a new building Dr. Rolle asks what about the health and wellness of those working in it?
