French investigators allege telegram has been used for illegal activities, including child abuse material and drug trafficking.

Durov defended himself in a recent telegram post, arguing it is unjust to hold him personally responsible for crimes committed by others on the platform.

He criticized the use of outdated laws to target CEO for third-party actions.
