Deputy Prime Minister: They’re Taking A Swipe at Bahamasair for Another Issue
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation Chester Cooper, is blaming a number of longstanding issues for Airlines for Americas Consortium’s objection to Bahamasair’s application to operate in the United States.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation Chester Cooper, is blaming a number of longstanding issues for Airlines for Americas Consortium’s objection to Bahamasair’s application to operate in the United States.
Cooper claims this attempt comes as the group that’s made up of notable airlines, such as American Airlines, Jet Blue, and Southwest are taking their frustrations out on Bahamasair over ongoing negotiations.
Cooper says the issues are separate and would not affect day-to-day operations.
He adds that even though the AIA is frustrated with the fees, the Bahamian government is doing what’s best for the Bahamian people.
