WORLDWIDE – Apple’s iPhone 16 is off to a slower-than-expected start, with pre-sale estimates down over 12% from last year.
The company sold about 37-40 million units in the first weekend, according to analysts.
Demand for higher-priced pro models dropped sharply, as many consumers opted for the more affordable iPhone 16 and 16 plus.
Analysts point to Apple’s reliance on ai features, which haven’t fully launched, as a key factor in the lukewarm response.
Despite early concerns, analysts still predict strong holiday sales for the iPhone 16.
